You will have lots of opportunities to get involved
with playing sport outside of your course.
The college is affiliated to British Colleges’ Sport (BCS) and
takes part in the full range of competitions covering both team and
individual sports. In support of this programme the college enters
the BCS West Midlands championships at Lilleshall in December and
if successful, the National Championships in April, held at Bath
The teams offer talented players the chance to get
quality coaching - available on Monday and Wednesday sessions.
Activities include physical, mental, technical and tactical
aspects of the game, fitness assessments and matches in league
and cup games against other colleges. There are opportunities
to get coaching and refereeing qualifications.
Successful students will have the opportunity to represent the
team in the British Colleges Cup and the Midland Colleges

Students who represent GB squads will be given time off to
attend specialist training events and competitions, as long as it
doesn't interfere with the achievement of the main qualification
and attendance of 80%.
