Arts apprenticeships

We offer a range of apprenticeships within creative industries and work with several regional employers to provide a range of subjects and pathways.




An apprenticeship offers a great foundation to those passionate to work in this very desirable industry - and apprentices earn while they learn.

From photography, graphics, illustration and fashion to
product design, multimedia and furniture – we have strong
partnerships with employers to nurture creative talent.

We offer the following apprenticeships: 


Photo Imaging

  • The Advanced Apprenticeship in Photo Imaging is designed to give apprentices the skills to work in the Photo Imaging industry, either as a photographer or in digital image production, photo retail or picture libraries.


Fashion, Clothing and Textiles

  • Design – developing skills in designing clothing, fabric or accessories, leading to roles in the fashion design industry.
  • Apparel – to develop the skills necessary to work in the textiles sector, such as dressmaking, sewing machinist, clothing alteration.



Apprentices will develop skills leading to a range of roles, including product design, graphic design, technical illustration, desktop publishing.

Furniture Crafts

  • Making and installing – to develop the skills necessary to work as a furniture/cabinet maker.
  • Wood machining – to provide skills in the manufacture of furniture and components using machinery. Leading to furniture and cabinet making, kitchen and cabinet fitting, furniture installation.
