The essential qualities of team work, leadership, physical fitness and discipline are tested to the full in preparation for a career in the public services.

You will also learn about the roles, responsibilities and career opportunities in the various public services – with visits to the Police, Fire and Military and visiting speakers.

Outdoor adventure activity courses

Public services

Students wishing to broaden their experience for a potential career in either the public services or outdoor adventure participate in a range of landbased and waterbased activities.

 

A highlight of the course is the planning, delivering and evaluating an expedition to the Lake District, as well as local expeditions in the Warwickshire area.

 

Experiences include canoeing, kayaking, sailing, rafting, wind surfing, abseiling, climbing and many other activities.

 

Students learn the skills to navigate and map read to lead walking trips and achieve a navigation award.
