Study for a degree part-time

Almost all of our HE level courses can be studied part-time. And there are lots of different reasons why you might choose to do so.

To work while you study and spread the cost

Financial commitments may mean that you need to maintain an income whilst studying.  As a part-time student you are also still eligible to apply for a loan.

Because you have a family

You love being a parent, or you may care for another family member; studying part-time means that you can do both.

To enhance your skills

If you work in the field which you are studying, your course may help you to fill a skills gap and earn a promotion. This can be win-win for you and your employer.

For fun

Learning can be an end in itself if you have a passion for a subject.

To study at your own pace

You can study part-time over various numbers of years.

How does it work?

We'll work around you. You could study at a particular time of day, for less time than a full-time student would. Or you could work during the day and then study in the evenings.

What does it cost?

Your annual part-time course fee varies depending on how many years you take to study your course.

For example - FdA Business and Management takes two years to study full-time. If you study part-time then your fees will be spread across each year as below:

over two years - £6,750 per year

over four years - £3,375 per year

how to apply

You don't need to apply through UCAS to study part-time but email with your details, the course that you would like to study and a brief summary of your experience and /or qualifications.

Why we love our part-time students

Part-time students tend to be very focussed as they have other demands on their time as well as study, and they also bring a wealth of real life experience to their learning.

We can't promise that it will be simple (you may also learn the art of juggling) but we can promise that it will be worth it! And we'll support you every step of the way.
