The food and drink unit at Pershore College is used to
make our own apple juice and cider, provide contract bottling
services and deliver specialist courses in processing and
College has produced apple juice since 1993 and now provides more
than 40,000 bottles of cider, apple juice and perry to independent
retailers every year.
We have won
numerous awards for our products, including Reserve Champion for
the West Midlands tastiest apple juice. We have also had great
success with our pear juice and organic cider, both winning 3* gold
at the 'Great Taste' awards.
From apple to finished product, bottled and pasteurised, this is
a popular use of excess or grade-out fruit, for growers with their
own farm shops.
