Warwickshire College is a member of the Get Set network, the
Olympic Games’ official education programme, promoting the Olympic
and Paralympic values throughout the college.
The college is using creative and innovative methods to promote the
Olympic values of
- respect – fair play, knowing your own limits and taking care of
your health and the environment
- excellence – how to give the best of yourself, on the field of
play or in life; taking part; and progressing according to your own
objectives
- friendship – how, through sport, to understand each other
despite any differences

The Paralympic Values are based on the history of the Paralympic
Games and the tradition of fair play and honourable sports
competition.
They are:
- courage
- determination
- inspiration
- equality
Warwickshire College’s commitment to Olympic and Paralympic
values can be seen in many different aspects of college life.
During recent years, it has invested in excellent sports facilities
with new sports halls, pitches and gyms at its Rugby and Henley-in-Arden
centres.
For the first time, the college is running a Sport
Performance and Excellence course for young people competing at
county level or above.
But it is not just about top performers. The college ensures
opportunity for all with a new physical activity programme for all
students, sporty or otherwise. Activities so far have included
football, archery and boxercise.
