The Spa shortlisted for award
The Spa, in Henley-in-Arden, which is part of Warwickshire
College, has been shortlisted for a prestigious industry
award.
The Spa is a finalist in the Professional Beauty Spa of the Year
Award 2012, and will be competing for the title against well-known
names such as The Dorchester Spa in London and The Sanctuary Spa
Covent Garden. It is the only venue in the Midlands to feature in
the five-strong shortlist for the Day Spa of the Year category.

Housed in a Regency mansion near Henley-in-Arden, The Spa offers
the complete range of beauty treatments, from Hopi ear candles to
Thai massages, semi-permanent make-up to laser hair removal, using
top brands such as Elemis, Bare Minerals make-up, Environ and St
Tropez.
Operating as a professional, commercially-run business, The Spa
also offers a practical training experience for students studying
beauty therapy and spa management courses at Warwickshire College’s
Henley-in-Arden centre.
Kerry Shemmans, Spa Manager, said: “I’m really delighted that we
have been shortlisted. This is the first time we have entered
the competition and it is a real privilege knowing that we are the
only one in the area for this category, and up against some really
prestigious and well-known spas.
“I hope the judges see that we are something really
different. We are smaller spa, able to offer a really
personal service and offer a very different experience to some of
the bigger spas in the category.
“I hope people enjoy our experience as we offer a more intimate
and relaxed environment to our customers.”
The venue has already received a visit from an industry insider
and staff are now awaiting an assessment from a ‘mystery
shopper’.
The winner will be announced at a glittering ceremony on Sunday
4 March at the London Hilton Park Lane.
