Mariane Cavalli joins the college
Warwickshire College is pleasd to welcome our new
Principal and Chief Executive, Mariane Cavalli. Mariane has joined
us from Croydon College where she spent nine years as Principal and
Chief Executive, driving a number of notable achievements -
including improving the college’s quality of provision and Ofsted
ratings.
Mariane says “I am excited by the new challenges that working at
Warwickshire College will bring. There are difficult times ahead
for education but I am committed to making sure the college can
continue to meet the changing needs of our society, whether that’s
helping young people get the training they need for employment,
adults who want to change careers or employers who want to upskill
their staff to stay competitive. We will continue to provide high
quality learning opportunities which enable people to improve their
lives.”

Mariane’s own experiences have given her a particular
appreciation of the hard work and sustained efforts of mature
students. She herself spent 15 years juggling part-time study,
child care and full time employment. Mariane fully endorses further
education’s ethos of opportunity for everyone and is particularly
keen on the college’s commitment to ‘Learner Voice’, which
encourages learners to have their say on how the college is
run.
Mariane also paid tribute to former Principal, Ioan Morgan. She
says “as a result of Ioan’s excellent leadership, the college has a
great deal to be proud of. I relish the opportunity to build on the
college's outstanding achievements and reputation and to develop
new strengths and successes.”
