Nail business for Niki
Entrepreneurial beauty student Niki Nomikos has founded her
own nail business with her sister, which she runs alongside her
studies at Warwickshire College.
Niki, a Level 3 beauty student, believes that her course has
given her valuable knowledge of the beauty industry and of beauty
therapy techniques, which has helped with setting up her own
business.
Beauty is the career she always envisaged for herself and she
was determined to have her own business one-day, but it has
happened sooner than planned. A chance conversation with the owner
of the Tanning Shop in Leamington Spa, has lead to Niki opening her
own business within a month of the initial meeting.
During this time she has undertaken a specialist nail course and
raised funding for the business, whilst still attending her college
course.
Niki said: “My tutor Jennie Cartwright has been the best tutor
in the world! She is really inspirational and has helped me
enormously advising with the business side of my new venture.”
Niki is due to start a Foundation Degree in Spa and Beauty
Management at Henley-in-Arden in 2012. She hopes this course will
increase her business knowledge and help her expand her business
into her own premises.
