For budding entrepreneurs
Were you inspired by the latest series of ‘The Apprentice’?
Or do you fancy yourself as the next Richard Branson? If so, then
Warwickshire College may have the course for you.
From September 2011, Warwickshire College is running a new BTEC
level 3 course in ‘Enterprise and Entrepreneurship’ at its
Leamington centre. The course will teach aspiring business minds
how to design, plan, set up and run a business, looking at risk
taking and problem solving skills.
Students will have the opportunity to study and work with local
businesses and have the opportunity to set up their own business
venture within the college.
Senior Curriculum Leader, Jackie Cook, said: “Business Studies
is already a popular course with young people. This course goes a
step further, helping students to develop the practical and
personal skills to start their own business one day.
“The course will appeal to students with a creative and
innovative flair, helping them to develop their entrepreneurial
skills. In the current climate, such problem-solving skills are
very valuable and can be applied in the students’ own future
business, or an existing company.”
The BTEC is the equivalent of one A level and can be combined
with A level study at the college. For more information, contact
