133 new JLR Apprentices
Warwickshire College relishes opportunity to train JLR
apprentices
Warwickshire College is this week welcoming the news that Jaguar
Land Rover (JLR) is to recruit a record number of apprentices
during 2012.
The news, announced at the start of National Apprenticeship
Week, will see the UK's leading automotive employer recruiting
around 133 apprentices to join its growing business.

And as an approved training provider in the Midlands, the
college is expecting many of JLR's new apprentices to learn their
trade at its Trident centre in Warwick.
Warwickshire College has been working with JLR for the past
three years. To date the college has trained 62 advanced
level apprentices for the company, along with 17 Level 2
apprentices. The college is currently in the process of
training a further 175 apprentices for the firm.
Alan May, Warwickshire College’s Assistant Principal (Technology
and Employer Services) said: “This is a really exciting time for
both JLR and the college.
“Warwickshire College is developing some fantastic links with
JLR and we look forward to this relationship continuing in
future.”
