Equine Open Events
We run open events throughout the
year
For students wishing to study equine courses at a higher
education (HE) level, we offer dedicated equine open events
during the Winter and Spring months. To attend these events, we ask
that you BOOK in
ADVANCE.
If you are wishing to study equine or farriery courses at post
GCSE level, as an apprenticeship or as a part-time course, you
DO NOT need to book in advance to reserve a place
at our open event. See a

Higher Education Equine Open Events
All our open events are run from 10.00 - 15.00 (approximately)*
The events will last the full five hours and we ask you arrive
promptly at 10.00.
* the completion time will depend on whether you are having an
interview (which we will let you know before hand) and what time it
starts and finishes.

10.00 - Arrival
10.00 - 10.30 - Academic icebreaker
10.30 - 11.15 - A taste of business
11.15 - 12.00 - A taste of science / equitation
12.00 - 12.30 - Lunch
12.30 - 13.30 - Presentation about the college and courses
13.30 - 15.30 - Campus tour and interviews
* the evening itinerary will differ
No riding equipment is needed, but please bring appropriate
footwear and clothing for being outside for part of the day.
We will provide light refreshments but not a full
lunch.
We would advise that you bring a packed lunch, or food can be
purchased at the college's canteen.
Parents and guests will be welcome to attend presentations and
tours, but there will be limited room in the academic and taster
sessions. A base room will be provided for guests.
