Mahmudul Hasan Shuva
|
Shuva came to Warwickshire College from Bangladesh. He joined
the English school to improve his language skills before joining
the A level programme.
Shuva said “my dream is to go to a British university to study
engineering or astronomy. The people here are really friendly
– my host ‘Mum’ is really nice and treats me like her own
son. This has helped me not to miss my own family too
much. The International department helped me with things like
registering with a doctor and getting my visa extended.
“I wanted to improve my level of English before I started my A
levels and have a chance to get used to the local environment and
culture. I would certainly recommend any international student to
study English here, even if their language level is good enough,
because it helps you to settle into a new country."

Anh Phuong Le
|
Anh came to study at Warwickshire College from Vietnam.
She did a two week English course to improve her language skills,
before taking her AS levels, where she got four A grades in maths,
further maths, chemistry and business studies.
Anh says “I came to study in England because it has a great
reputation for education. A friend recommended Warwickshire
College to me and Leamington is a nice town and a great place to
study.
I was intimidated by chemistry at school because of all the
experiments, but my teacher was brilliant and now I really like
it. Business studies is really interesting and I enjoy
looking practically at how businesses work. Now I want to go
to university and study economics.
My family were worried about me being away from home, but they
encouraged me to work hard and are really pleased with how I am
getting on.”
