How to apply for an exam

The exam is taken on Saturdays at the Rugby Centre.

IELTS

 

Registration is at 08.30 - and the exam will start at 09.15.

The speaking test will take place in the afternoon.

You will be told the exact time of your test on the day.

 

Your identity document (ID)

This must be your passport (only European Union citizens can use their national ID card). You must put the number on the application form and you must bring the original document with you to all parts of the test. Photocopies will not be accepted.

 

If your passport is at the Home Office, you must get it back before you take the test. If you come without your ID, you can't take the test and you will lose your test fee.

 

Application forms

You must send your IELTS application form (pages 1-4) and the payment form by post with your photographs and your payment. We cannot accept applications by email or fax.

 

Payment

Your payment of £125 can be made online or by cheque/postal orders

Cheques / Postal Orders must be made payable to Warwickshire College

or

Pay online for your IELTS test of £125.

 

Application checklist

Use this checklist to make sure your application is complete:

  • Application form fully completed
  • Passport photograph x 2 - this MUST be no more than 6 months old
  • Payment form
  • Signature on all forms
  • Number of your ID (Passport or EU identity card)
  • Payment of £125 - Cheques / Postal Orders must be made payable to Warwickshire College 
  • Photocopy of your Passport


Please do not wear glasses on your passport photograph.

 

Cancellation and postponements

If you can't take the test for medical reasons and can show a full medical certificate, you will be offered the next available test without extra charge. To cancel or postpone for any other reason, you must give at least five weeks notice. A charge of £20 will be made.

If you cancel or postpone later than this, you will forfeit the whole test fee. Cancellations and postponements must be made in writing by post, fax or email.

 

Receiving your results

Results are posted to your home address 13 days after the test date. Please note that results cannot be communicated via telephone, fax or email.

 

If you prefer to collect your results in person, come to the IELTS test centre on the 13th day after your test (Friday, 09.30 - 12.30) and bring your passport with you. If you do not present your passport we reserve the right to withhold your results.

You will receive only one copy of the Test Report Form. It is important that you keep it safe as replacement Test Report Forms cannot be isued unlesss we have evidence that the original has been lost or destroyed. The fee for a reaplcement Test Report Form is £15.

Enquiry on results and test report forms

If you are not satisfied with your results you can ask for a re-mark by completing an 'Enquiry on Results' form which you can request from us.  Your test will be remarked by the British Council and results will be available between 6 and 8 weeks later. 

There is a fee of £60.00 for this service - this is refunded to you if your band score changes.  Cheques or Postal Orders for £60.00 should be made payable to Warwickshire College.

IELTS office opening hours

The IELTS office is located at Warwickshire College's Rugby centre at Technology Drive.

 

Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 09.00 - 16.00 (12pm on Friday).

 

If you'd like to register at the college you must telephone for an appointment first.  Please do not turn up without an appointment as the office may be closed.
