Robert Horne Group
Thirty Robert Horne employees can relax having completed
their Level 2 NVQs in logistics.
The Robert Horne Group supplies the widest range of material
imaginable in the UK, from paper and board to plastics. This
is supported by a network of 29 branches around the UK and Northern
Ireland.
Employees within the Logistics function of the Group began
training with Warwickshire College assessor Andrew Clark nearly a
year ago, and another 40 logistics people are currently at various
stages of NVQ training. Certificates for the first 30
NVQ-achievers were presented at the company’s Northampton
headquarters by Logistics Operations Director, Graham Carlin.
National Distribution Centre Manager, Steve Field commented, on
opening the proceedings, "If achieving the NVQ has made a
difference to you, then it has made a difference to us".
Robert Horne has a long history of training and developing its
people, in all areas of the business.
Steph Goodings, Learning and Development Manager adds “We aim to
train and develop all of our people in order to equip them with the
skills, knowledge, attitude and behaviours necessary for their
current and future roles within the organisation – which, in turn,
helps us to meet our business objectives.”
Ann Lord, Business Development Manager at Warwickshire College,
