What we do
The current economic climate has brought many challenges
for employers, and we have recognised the need to support
you.
We have set out a series of support and training commitments to
bring you and your staff through the difficult times and be ready
for the upturn
We can:
- use our Government funds to provide effective quality training
and support
- deliver where you want – when you need it
- tailor make our solutions so you only pay for what you
need
- ensure our support for you is easy to access
- help you realise the value of training through a Return on
Investment study
- help you maximise your down time – ready for the upturn
We work closely with organisations and businesses. This
partnership activity takes many forms.
Examples of how employers work with us include the development
of courses, Working with Plumb Centre (part of Wolsley UK),
Worcester Bosch and Baxi we have launched a BPEC Solar Domestic Hot
Water Heating systems qualification to meet the training needs
of installers in the plumbing trade.
At our Trident Centre a room has been dedicated to employer
Dugard. Dugard supply CNC equipment and use the college as a
customer sales showroom base for their Midlands operations. In
return our students are trained on their equipment which is
regularly updated and provides the students with the latest
training facilities.
Rolls Royce also supply helicopter engines to the College’s
Technology Centre to enable their apprentices to practice on the
dismantling and assembly of engines from start to finish.
On visiting the centre Lord Young – labour peer – congratulated
the college on it’s partnering activity.
He said: “It’s all very impressive and it’s great to see the
partnerships here.”
Talk to us about how we can form partnerships which will benefit
both students, business and the community at large.
