An employer and employee focused training and support
service.
Skills for Midlands Growth is a government initiative, which
provides support throughout the redundancy process for employers
and individuals.
The FREE workplace based programme for both employers and
employees in Coventry and Warwickshire, gives people the essential
skills they need to improve their employability and find new
employment.
Support for employers
The college provides a service to employers who may be looking to
reduce the size of their workforce by providing advice, guidance,
training and job matching services to employees in advance of
redundancy.
Support for individuals
Our qualified careers advice and guidance officers provide
confidential one to one advice and support, which includes:
- Career action planning
- Job search techniques
- Confidence building
- Help in writing CV and covering letters
- Help in completing application forms
- Interview skills techniques
- Literacy and numeracy tuition, including accreditation up to
Level 2
- Access to a significant range of vocational programmes
- Adult apprenticeship opportunities
- IT qualifications
