Student comments
Prince's Trust students - what they think of the
course.

I finished my sports course at college last July but hadn’t done
anything since then.
I did my work placement at a hotel, taking care of the gym,
swimming pool and spa and they have offered me a job after I finish
the course.

I dropped out of my art and design course to get a bit of
money together, but couldn’t get a job.
I always thought I would go back to college and do art, but I
now know I want to go into public services and outdoor
education. The course gave me advice on my next steps and I am
feeling much more positive about my future.

The Prince’s Trust really helped me – I would recommend it to
people who don’t have anything to do.
It has built my confidence and helped me get the grades I
needed. Now I want to do something that will use my skills in cars,
art and spray - painting helmets.

I did music for three years at City College, but then I was out
of work for a year. The college understood my situation and gave me
support.
I’ve built my skills in Maths and English so I can go on to
another course. I 've overcome some challenges and this has
taught me not to give up. I’d like to go to university and learn to
be a translator.

I wasn’t getting on well at college until one of my mates
recommended The Prince’s Trust to me. It has helped me get some
qualifications and opened my eyes a bit to some of the things out
there.
I'm hoping to go into the army.

The residential was great, it helped build confidence, team work
and leadership – we learned about each other’s strengths and
weaknesses. I would recommend it to people with no qualifications
or who have been kicked out of school.
It will build your confidence and help with what you want to do
next.

The course has given us opportunities to do things we wouldn’t
normally do and to widen our horizons.
I can go on to do a job or a course now, if it wasn’t for
Prince’s Trust, I would never have entertained it. A lot of it is
to do with confidence.
