English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes will develop skills in:

  • reading
  • writing
  • speaking and listening
  • grammar
  • spelling
  • pronunciation
  • basic computer technique

 

Classes provide the opportunity to network with other students in the class or a different class, and to make new friends and meet people from many different countries and cultures.

Tuition

There is a maximum of 18 students in one class. Students can attend one class per week or seven depending on availability.

 

Classes are arranged in level of ability to suit individual student's needs.  They range from Entry 1 Literacy to Level 2 (GCSE equivalent).

 

Teaching sessions are informative, fun, friendly and relaxed. There will be some whole group activities, small group work and pair work or individual work.

 

Tutors are friendly, helpful, approachable and all highly qualified.

 

Assessment


Cambridge ESOL exams are held at the end of each course. 

 

There has been a pass rate of above 90 per cent for previous exams.
