RHS ‘old’ syllabus
Completing your RHS qualification
If you have already begun an RHS qualification under the
‘old’ syllabus you can use our ‘Flexible Learning’ to finish
studying for the remaining exams.
Validation for the current RHS Certificate, Advanced Certificate
and Diploma runs out in February 2012.
Level 2 Certificate
Hort I units
- the plant kingdom
- plant propagation
- outdoor food production
- garden planning.
Hort II units
- protected cropping
- soils and nutrition
- plant selection establishment and maintenance
- plant health.
Level 3 Advanced Certificate
Module A: Propagation, Basic Soil Science,
Nutrition
Module B: Plant anatomy and morphology, Plant
Physiology I, Plant Health
Module C: Practical assessment - support notes
only; study weekend
Module J: Hardy Ornamental Nursery Stock, Turf
Establishment and Maintenance, Plant Selection Establishment and
Maintenance.
Level 3 Diploma
Module F: Resource Management I & II,
Ecology
Module G: Genetics, Plant Physiology II,
Systematic Botany
Module H: Practical assessment - support notes
only; study weekend
Module I: Garden Planning, Layout and
Construction, Restoration of Established Gardens.
