Horticulture apprenticeships
Apprenticeships are for students aged 16-25 and are
work-based training courses.
Apprenticeships are offered in the following areas:
Apprenticeships can be studied at Level 2 or Level 3. They run
at our Moreton Morrell and Pershore centres
If you are a young person looking to study an
apprenticeship
You must be:
- aged 16+
- employed full or part-time in the horticulture industry (we can
help you find employment)
- able to come to college at least once a week or fortnight (as
agreed on sign up).
The benefits
- earn while you learn and get a nationally recognised
qualification
- visits and support from a college team
- the chance to put what you learn at college into practise in
the workplace.
Working in the horticulture industry is a vocational
pathway - so weekend work is sometimes necessary.
If you are an employer looking to take on an apprentice
The benefits
- funded training – depending on circumstances
- there is a reduced apprenticeship wage for apprentices as they
are still in training
- apprenticeships give you the chance to ‘grow your own’ member
of staff
- you will receive regular visits and continued support from our
delivery team
- an excellent standard of training
- skilled, highly trained apprentices.
