Horticulture apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are for students aged 16-25 and are work-based training courses.

Apprenticeships are offered in the following areas:

Apprenticeships can be studied at Level 2 or Level 3. They run at our Moreton Morrell and Pershore centres

If you are a young person looking to study an apprenticeship

You must be:

  • aged 16+
  • employed full or part-time in the horticulture industry (we can help you find employment)
  • able to come to college at least once a week or fortnight (as agreed on sign up).

The benefits

  • earn while you learn and get a nationally recognised qualification
  • visits and support from a college team
  • the chance to put what you learn at college into practise in the workplace.

Working in the horticulture industry is a vocational pathway - so weekend work is sometimes necessary.

If you are an employer looking to take on an apprentice

The benefits

  • funded training – depending on circumstances
  • there is a reduced apprenticeship wage for apprentices as they are still in training
  • apprenticeships give you the chance to ‘grow your own’ member of staff
  • you will receive regular visits and continued support from our delivery team
  • an excellent standard of training
  • skilled, highly trained apprentices.
