Arboriculture
Arboriculture is more commonly recognised as tree
management, forestry and tree surgery.

This subject area has grown in popularity over the
past few years and is now offered at both our Moreton Morrell and
Pershore College centres.
Many students who enrol on one of these courses go on to
set up their own businesses, based on the training that they have
received.
The college's lecturing and instructing staff have a lot of
industry experience, enabling them to train students to meet the
needs of the industry.

A range of short courses, full time courses and apprenticeships
are offered, so students can choose the learning pattern that suits
them.
There are also courses to cater for all levels of experience,
from an entry level diploma (level 1) right through to higher
education and professional qualifications.

Topics covered include:
- chainsaw and machinery maintenance
- tree climbing and aerial rescue
- how to prune and dismantle trees
- tree felling
- pests and diseases
- tree surveying
- machinery operation
- plant and soil science
- business management

We also run chainsaw
and tree control courses
