Students are encouraged to enter national and international
competitions and do well - every year.
UK Skills Hairdressing Competition 2011
We scooped gold, silver and bronze
awards at the regional final in Cambridge.
The six-hour competition consists of two tasks, relating to
both women’s and men’s hairdressing.
Competitors are expected to demonstrate their
creativity, as well as technique and good working
practice.

VQ Day 2011
Stacey Sloan
Hairdressing level 2 student Stacey was presented
with an award to celebrate her outstanding achievements as
part of VQ (Vocational Qualifications) Day 2011.
Stacey worked hard, completing her NVQ whilst
working towards the UK Skills hairdressing competition. She
also achieved 100% attendance whilst juggling her commitments
with a young family.
Her tutors say: "Stacey would be a great asset to any employer,
she is very creative and has a high standard of finish."
