Riding club and academy
Moreton Morrell Riding Club
The Riding Club is open to all Warwickshire College students and
encourages participation from riders of all levels. Regular
competitions will be run at college and all members are involved in
running, hosting and taking part in the events. We are in Area 5 of
the British Riding Clubs.

Moreton Morrell Riding Academy
To be a member of the Academy, students must first be a member
of the Riding Club. The Academy has been established to develop and
enhance performance in competition and specialised training is
available for all disciplines.
As a member of the Academy you will receive:
- discount for college competitions, clinics, events
- an Academy Personal Progress folder
- personal assessments/reviews per year
- targets and goal setting
- extra riding lessons - flat or jump
- an elite Academy garment
- discount on clinic events
- complimentary pair of MacWet riding gloves
- personal fitness sessions
Students are encouraged to apply even if they do not have their
own horse.
Development Squad
Places in the Development Squad are available for students
wishing to grow and improve their riding skills further. Successful
progress on the Development Squad may lead to promotion to the
Talented Rider Squad.
Talented Rider Squad
The Talented Rider Squad will focus on fine tuning equitation
skills in your discipline and help you to compete nationally as an
individual and as a team member representing Warwickshire College.
Members must have at least a BHS Stage two qualification
Members receive regular tuition and lecture-demonstrations with
trainers and coaches and you may receive assistance with
transportation and competition fees.
