Engineering
The strength of our engineering programmes lies in our
extensive industry links.
We provide some of the best facilities and most innovative
training available - at our Rugby and Trident, Warwick
centres.
We have:
- A new £35m Rugby Centre with superb engineering facilities,
including a cutting edge Power Industry Academy - set to improve training
needs of the power generation.
- A state of the art centre in Warwick dedicated to engineering
and motor sport.
- First class laboratory and practical engineering workshops
- Advanced machining centre and robotic facilities
- IT facilities with industry standard software and design
suites
- large number of apprentices from local and national
companies.
We provide education and training to a engineering companies,
with specialist areas in the electrical, electronic and
manufacturing fields. Close links with industry mean we can provide
the right programmes to help you secure jobs with the minimum
of on the-job training.
The Engineering Construction Industry Training Board
(ECITB)

We are accredited by the ECITB to deliver
courses.
Supervisory Training Programme
This comprises of seven modules over 17 days.
Topics include:
- managing teams and individuals
- achieving tasks through planning
- cost and quality controls
- health and safety
- presentation skills.
Modules can be studied individually.
TECSkills
A training scheme developed for work-based learning. It is a
flexible modular system in subjects such as electrical
installation, pipefitting and welding pipe.
Assuring Competence in Engineering Construction (ACE)
The ACE scheme validates skills against National Occupational
Standards (ECITB N/SVQ Level 3) and ensures that people working
together in the engineering construction industry are
competent.
The aim of this programme is to ensure a basic knowledge of
health and safety for all personnel working at engineering
construction sites.
