Performing arts
This course gives students the opportunity to perform in
front of a live audience.
Students take part in around eight shows during the two-year
course, including full scale musicals, dance festivals, plays and
tours to local venues. We also visit theatres in London at least
twice a year to see professional work, as well as visiting local
venues to watch performances.

Facilities
In our new Rugby centre (opened 2010) Performng Arts
students have the use of the purpose-built dance studio,
dressing rooms, fully equipped theatre space and practice
rooms.
Tutors
Our tutors are specialist trained in the performing arts and
have years of professional and teaching experience.
Success rates
Since the course opened in September 2005, it has been completed
by three groups, with a 100% pass rate.
In the second year, tutors help students decide on
their next step. We support students in applying to university
or drama school. and help them prepare from writing CVs and
application forms, to teaching audition and interview
techniques.
A career in the performing arts

The majority of our students have gone on to pursue a career in
the performing arts - some get a place at a stage school
in London, or continue to study at university.
Students who have gone into employment have set up their own
drama schools for young children, have managed their own team in
customers services and have worked with touring theatre companies
as stage managers and promotions staff.
The course also offers opportunities to study in areas
like journalism, hospitality, teaching, stage management and
marketing.
