Costume
Warwickshire College’s Henley-in-Arden centre has
developed a specialised working environment for students of all
ages in theatre costume, millinery and corsetry.
These subjects are offered as full and part-time as well as
recreational courses.
Students are encouraged to develop skills in a variety of
subject specialisms which will create a good basis for their
portfolios.
Students will learn:

garnment design
- pattern cutting
- corsetry and period clothing
- illustration and portfolio binding
- materials and processes
- garment construction
- millinery and accessories
Pattern cutting is a key part to all of the
subject areas and is taught to all students to ensure
that their creative designs can be produced.
The costume programme has been developed to industry standards
and students are encouraged to work in a production team
environment, with the assistance of specialised subject tutors.
Whether you want to develop your existing skills or are a
complete beginner, the Henley-in-Arden centre welcomes all levels
of experience.
