Why study for a career in IT?

industries (manufacturing, finance and banking, public sector,
transport, storage and communications being the largest
employers)
Our courses are designed to develop competence in different areas,
giving you the broad mix of skills required for employment or
continued studies in this field.
We constantly evaluate our courses to reflect the needs of
business and universities in this dynamic industry. Our IT
department has close links with local IT employers including
Codemasters and Baxi.
Alongside academic qualifications the IT department offers
industry standard qualifications offered by IT Vendors such as the
CISCO CCNA training.
You can choose to specialise in areas to reflect your chosen career
path. Previous students have progressed into careers such as IT and
systems support, games programming and website design. Other have
continued on to higher education at first degree (BA/BSc) and
masters levels (MA/MSc).
