Counselling
Warwickshire College has a first-class reputation in
counselling. Students join us from a wide variety of backgrounds to
learn new skills in a highly supportive environment.
We offer
a range of courses to suit your skill level and career aspirations
from Level 2, a Counselling Skills and Counselling Concepts
certificate, to a foundation degree in Cognitive Behavioural
Counselling (level 5).
These courses are particularly appropriate for those working
towards counselling practitioner status. They are also relevant for
people working in a range of occupational and professional roles
within the private, public, voluntary and charitable sectors.
You will
benefit from a teaching team with high levels of professional
qualifications and experience in specialist areas.
Support and guidance is offered to establish the needs of
individual students which is particularly helpful for mature
students who may be returning to study.
Students spend one day each week developing
professional competence and learning the underpinning theory, and
the rest of the time working in counselling placements with
different organisations, which can reflect their own specific
interests.
