Children's care and development
Child care and development is a hugely rewarding area in
which to work, helping children to develop physically, emotionally,
intellectually and socially.
This is an exciting sector in which to work, providing
opportunities to shape the next generation through many
different career paths. These include:
- working in schools and nurseries as a teaching assistant or
nursery nurse
- childminding or working as a nanny
- working with children and their families in social care
settings
- speech and language development
- special baby care
- working with sick children
- working with children who have learning difficulties or
disabilities
Studying at Warwickshire College will provide you with the
knowledge, experience and qualifications you need to progress to
the next stage, whether this is working in the sector or moving on
to further study at college or university.
There are dedicated base rooms fully equipped to replicate a
nursery environment and resources that support the curriculum
delivery.
Work placement is an integral part of the course structure and a
dedicated Placement Team supports students in this area.
