Whether you are interested in corporate conferencing,
sporting or leisure events or international events such as the
Olympics 2012, event management skills are invaluable.
From short one-day courses to prepare you for managing a
particular event, to two-year foundation degrees, we have a number
of options available.
Foundation degrees
We offer two foundation degrees in this subject area in Events
Management, and Venue and Events Management, both validated by
Coventry University.
They provide students with the essential skills and knowledge to
manage small and large events, opening up opportunities to work
individually or as part of a small team in a wide variety of
settings.
Designed for full-time students, these two-year courses include
a large componant of work experience.
The programme content has been designed in collaboration with
local employers to meet their requirements. Students will develop
the skills and knowledge to manage small and large events,
incorporating finance, law, marketing, and ICT skills.
Effective Event Organisation and Management
This short one-day course is designed for
anyone who might be asked to organise an event, either in-house or
external to their organisation.
The course takes candidates through the event management
process, from planning, timings, venues and budgets, to preparing
and sending out delegate information, and running the event
itself.
Business administration
Managing events and meetings is one of many areas covered in
this flexible course, which has a wide range of options, allowing
it to be uniquely tailored to individual requirements.
Additional options include project management, communications,
human resourses and health, safety and security.
