Warwickshire College offers training for employers
covering all sections of the animal welfare and veterinary nursing
industries.
Apprenticeships
The animal welfare apprenticeship has the following specialist
pathways
- animal care and welfare
- zoos and wildlife establishments
- dog grooming
- pet care and retail
- animal training
The veterinary nursing apprenticeship is suitable for anyone
working in an RCVS registered veterinary practise.
Apprenticeships are designed to help young people earn while
they learn in the workplace and give businesses the opportunity to
enjoy the following benefits:
- funded training – depending on circumstances
- the chance to ‘grow your own’ member of staff
- regular visits and continuous support from the delivery team to
assess progress
- excellent standards of training
- skilled, highly trained apprentices
Short and part-time courses
The college offers short and part-time courses suitable to
employees in the animal welfare and vet nursing industries.

Part-time higher education courses are also available,
which require part-time attendance at college with part-time
working hours.
Distance learning courses are also
available.
