Adult learners

We know that people want to study for a variety of reasons.

These can include:

  • getting a qualification for work
  • retraining
  • redundancy
  • taking a leisure course
  • enjoying a new hobby.

Whatever your motivation - coming to college will be a great start .

We realise that you are likely to have many demands on your free time. For this reason we offer flexible, part-time and short courses. You are also welcome to join any full-time programmes if this suits you better.

Some of our courses are free and some offer free tuition to qualifying applicants. For example if you don't have a level 2 qualification (e.g. 5 GCSEs) or level 3 (e.g. 2 A levels) the tuition fees are free.

There may also be funding if you are unemployed and if you’re considering full-time study, you may be eligible for the Adult Learning Grant.
